McLaren Vale
Our final stop was in wine country, the beautiful McLaren Vale.
I grew up around the McLaren Vale region so the vast rolling hills brought on some nostalgia. The fresh air was a welcome escape from city life.
We visited the Primo Estate Vineyard and enjoyed a tasting upon the hilltop before retreating to the Cellar Door for a delicious wood fired pizza lunch.
For $15 you can take “The JOSEPH Experience”, named after one of the two wines grown at the Primo Estate. The experience lets you to sample a selection of their Italian-inspired wines, complemented with JOSEPH Extra Virgin Olive Oil, crusty bread and Italian Grana Padano cheese. Mmmm.
With so many incredible restaurants and wineries, South Australia is set to be the next big thing for foodies. Find out more here or explore the Tasting Australia program here.
