What is it? Louisiana’s finest meat-filled sandwich – a po-boy is a traditional lunch meal from the deep south.
Where can you get it? All across the States, but some of the best can be found at Johnny’s Poboys in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Johnny’s are famous for their warm bun po-boys that are renowned as the best in Louisiana.
What’s in it? These po-boys are really all about the meat – choose from roast beef, oyster, catfish, hamburger, pastrami, chicken or even alligator sausage for the truly adventurous. Get it “dressed” and you won’t be disappointed.
Is it good for you? Nah, but you’ll feel pretty content after finishing one of these bad boys.
How much does it cost? Most are around $7 or $8 and come loaded in a fresh and soft bun with heaps of extra fixings.
