Tinder’s Passport Feature Is Now Free So You Can Swipe Anywhere In The World

Get ready to meet the handsome foreigner of your dreams from your own home, because Tinder is connecting the world by offering their Passport feature to all users for free.

Recognising the need for us all to connect (safely from a distance) is more important right now than ever, the dating app has decided to offer their previously Tinder Plus and Gold subscribers-only feature to everyone.

The Passport feature will let users search by city or drop a pin anywhere in the world on a virtual map then get to swiping as per usual.

While you can only be swiping in one city at a time, you can change your Tinder Passport feature location as many times as you’d like.

For me, at least half the fun of travelling is getting to meet new people with different perspectives, so it’s nice to know at least that part is still possible right now.

Like the rest of the world, Aussies have been looking for new ways to connect. On Tinder alone, the average number of conversations has increased by 16% (versus 20% around the world) and those conversations are lasting for 12% longer (25% longer worldwide).

Oh and the latest popular ‘about me’ inclusions? As you can imagine they’re becoming very isolation-themed, with stay home, be safe, social distancing, ;how are you’, wash your hands and face emojis all becoming common in user bios.

Oh and toilet paper jokes of course, so it’s probably time to move on from that if you’re looking to stand out.

Who knows, if you match someone you vibe with you could even order cocktails to your respective houses and have a virtual date – cute!

Happy swiping around the world!
