How To Make The Most Of Your Queensland Holiday, Now The Borders Are Opening

Mark it in your calendars, because Queensland has finally announced a date they’ll let the rest of the country in, and it’s July 10.

There is a very notable exception though, sorry Victoria but you’ll have a to wait a bit longer due to the rising number of cases.

NSW, SA, ACT, TAS, WA, and the NT will be welcomed in after filling out some paperwork at the border. You can expect a $4,000 fine if you dodge or falsify these documents too, so be honest everyone.

Inside the state itself, lockdown restrictions will move into Stage 3. This means up to 100 guests will be permitted at private functions and the 20-person limit for dining venues (including pubs) will be removed, as long as social distancing rules are maintained.

While I say VIC isn’t included, that’s not entirely true — Victorians or local Queenslanders returning from the VIC can come in, as long as they cough up the money for their own two-week in-hotel quarantines.

For most of us seems like we’re finally up to the fun part and now is the time to start planning. If you’re from down south, you’re in for a much warmer winter treat.
