Avengers: Endgame left us all reeling, cheering, crying and a little bit in love with Hot Hulk, and now Marvel: Journey of Heroes is a new exhibition coming to Melbourne celebrating the art of Marvel Comics.
The Marvel exhibition coincides with the company’s 80th anniversary, and is dedicated to everything produced during those 80 years, from the very first comic right through to the latest from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
[related_articles]68253,58841,59509[/related_articles]The entire history of Marvel will be represented here. See how your fave characters have evolved over the years and read up on the most famous storylines. There’ll also be new Marvel artwork created by local artists for us to ogle at.
New York Times best-selling comic book author Tom Taylor is the official spokesperson for the exhibition, and the man behind some popular Spider-Man, X-Men, Wolverine and Iron Man comics.
“This celebration is a huge milestone not only for Marvel but also the comic book industry as a whole,” Mr. Taylor says. “The characters brought to life in these comics are household names in Australia and the world, and it’s exciting that we get to take a step back, explore its history and honour the comics that started it all.”
Marvel: Journey of Heroes opens on July 5 and runs until August 25. It’s a free exhibition at Shot Tower Museum in Melbourne Central Shopping Centre.
That should tide us over until Disney’s new Marvel-themed land opens.
