Pool Your Galleons: Harry Potter’s Childhood Home Is For Sale

If you’ve ever wished to be a wizard, listen up: Harry Potter’s childhood home has just hit the market. Yep, Potter fans have the chance to get their muggle hands on the quaint English cottage where the Boy Who Lived was born.

The De Vere House, as it’s known in the real world, was featured in the seventh instalment of the adapted movie series, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1.

But the estate also has an interesting history off the big screen. Formerly owned by the De Vere family, who, in medieval times, were the second-richest family after the British King, it was frequented by a number of royal guests.

The almost-300-square-metre property features six spacious bedrooms, four extravagant bathrooms, and an entire self-catering wing made up of a reception hall, a drawing room, a kitchen and a dining room.

The property also boasts a sprawling alfresco dining terrace surrounded by some truly magical gardens.

The property is located in the sought-after village of Lavenham in Suffolk, England, and has a price tag of $1.6million (£995,000). Might be time to crack open a vault at Gringotts.
