We Don’t Mean To Alarm You, But There’s A Gnocchi Festival Coming To Melbourne This Weekend
Sorry to tell you this, but any plans you had this weekend are automatically cancelled because there’s a Gnocchi Festival happening in Melbourne.
Yes, an entire two-day festival dedicated to the fluffy pillows of pasta goodness is coming to The Ascot Lot this October 19 and 20. You’ll have 48-hours to stuff your face with as much pasta as you can handle from some of the city’s best food trucks and gnocchi connoisseurs.

The Beaded Jaffle will be combining my two loves and serving a jaffle filled with pesto gnocchi, cherry tomato and goat’s cheese, and Burrito Bae are bringing a Mexican bean and pulled pork gnocchi.
[related_articles]78128,78164,77996[/related_articles]Just like Nonna’s will be going back to basics with a traditional bolognese gnocchi, and Ardor Food Co will take care of the vegans with a Napoli & basil gnocchi and homemade vegan sorbet.
There’ll also be pasta from Italian Chef and Jake’s Kitchen, burgers from The Pickle & The Patty, and souvlaki from Taste of Cyprus. The bar will be slinging cocktails fit for an Italian feast, like a $12 Sofi Spritz, Peach Bellinis and Negronis. Your childhood fave Mr Whippy will even be there with Italian-inspired specials.

Think of it as a warm-up for the Chicken Nugget Festival that’s taking over Melbourne’s Welcome to Thornbury on October 26. For anyone else — I’m so sorry.
