Fancy Blue Burger Buns Have Landed In Paris

Earlier this year, the fashion world dispaired at news that iconic French boutique, Colette, will close its doors in December. But, before that happens, the impossibly classy clothing store has collaborated with gourmet burger restaurant Blend to create a farewell burger. A Colette-blue burger.
(Which reminds me: if anyone wanted to honour my memory in any kind of way, please invent a burger in my fav colour. Cheers.)
There’ll be two blue burgs to choose from, both including a beef patty. The first comes with 18-month-aged Somerset cheddar, honey mustard, tomato sauce and lettuce, while the second comes with caramelised onion, blue cheese, Emmentaler, garlic mayo and spinach one.
(In case you’re wondering: yes, I did have to google what Emmentaler was — it’s a type of Swiss cheese.)
Earlier this year, company representatives stated that they’re shutting the doors to allow the founder, Colette Rossaux, to enjoy her well-deserved retirement. Her namesake store has been up and running as a family biz for 20 years and is a staple of the Paris fashion scene.
To honour Karl Lagerfeld’s favourite Parisian store, chow down on a Pantone 293C-hued burger at Colette’s Water Bar at 213 Rue Saint-Honore from now until December 20. It’s sure to be the most extra burger you’ve ever had.
