There Is A ‘Star Wars’ Themed Hostel. Finally.

The Isle of Skye is beautiful. Connected to Scotland’s northwest by bridge, it’s known for its rugged landscapes, picturesque fishing villages and medieval castles. It’s also home to a very cute, very #ontrend Star Wars-themed hostel, that you should definitely visit the next time you’re in the area.
It’s called the SkyeWalker Hostel – get it? SkyeWalker? Like Luke Skywalker, but it’s the Isle of Skye? Yeah, you get it.
It’s actually not too far fetched to connect the Isle of Skye with Star Wars. A few years back, when the filming for Star Wars VIII: A Force Awakens begun, UK newspaper The Sun reported that filming was about to commence in the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye. At the time, an unnamed source allegedly said, “location bosses feel Scotland possesses stunning perfect for movie backdrops. They will look great on the big screen and the rock formations will replicate the perception of mountainous planets.”
The Skyewalker Hostel, while not entirely a Star Wars homage per se, has certainly embraced its namesake. Guests can choose to stay in cosy “jedi huts” which are situated in the garden at the rear of the hostel; rooms feature a comfy double bed, toasty heating and your own private space to pretend you’re piloting the Millennium Falcon.

It’s perfect for kicking back and pointing out that galaxy far, far away.
