Take A Look Inside Gaudi’s Casa Vicens Before It Opens To The Public

Famous Catalonian architect Antoni Gaudi had one of the most distinctive and unique styles of design in modern architecture. His career-defining works include the Sagrada Familia cathedral, Park Guell and Casa Mila.

Now, the first ever home that Gaudi designed has been restored and turned into a museum for the public. Casa Vicens was built in the late 18th century as an extravagant home for local broker, Manel Vicens i Montaner. The home was later renovated from a one family abode, to three and was used as a residence until 2014 when it was bought to restore as a museum.

The process has taken almost three years but the museum is expected to be open to visitors by Spain’s Autumn season. No word on ticket pricing or opening hours just yet, but we’re keeping an eye out.

For now, Casa Vicens has released some pictures of what the restoration looks like on its official website and Instagram, so you can get a look before it opens later this year:
