If staying in a secluded cabin surrounded on all sides by some of the world’s most incredible scenery sounds like an ideal holiday, then boy have we got some news for you.
Switzerland’s Tourism board really wants tourists to come and stay in its remote alpine cabins. As part of their ‘Back to Nature’ campaign, they’ve created a dedicated website listing 250 cabins for people to stay in. They want people to experience the great outdoors once again, to swap “meetings for mountains, and Wi-Fi for wildlife”.
Like, they really, really want you to stay in these cabins.
They’ve even suggested some fun activities for you to take part in during your stay. Outdoor activities like hiking, tending to farm animals and foraging for a traditional Swiss supper. The cabins themselves range in size and in utilities, with some reaching up to five bedrooms and others without running water or electricity. It all depends on what kind of holiday you’re after.

Prices start at around $230AUD for an entire week, which is super cheap. I mean, you spent more on your hair straightener.
So do Switzerland a favour, will you? Just stay in one of these beautiful cabins.
