In Very Aussie News, A QLD Driver Had To Wrestle A Snake While Driving His Ute

Are you ready for the most ‘Down Unda’ story you’ll hear today? Every now and then, something happens that is so completely #Straya you kind of think someone is setting us up. Today, it was a poor Queensland tradie who had to fight off a rogue Brown Snake while driving his ute.

‘Jimmy’ from Gladstone had been pulled over by police speeding down the highway. As soon as the cop reaches his window, Jimmy starts explaining himself.

“A Brown Snake or Tiger Snake is in the back of my ute. I think it’s bitten me,” he told police. “…You can feel my heart, mate”.

Bloody, fair enough Jimmy.

I’m not going to say the policeman didn’t believe him, but it definitely sounded like he didn’t. Obviously trying to check the story out, the copper moves around the back of the ute and spots the snake in question on the tray.

“I’m driving along at 100, and I just started to brake,” Jimmy explained further. “…And the more I moved my legs… it just started to wrap around me. Its head just started striking at the (driver’s seat) chair, between my legs.”

Apparently, the little shit of a snake popped up into the car through the gear stick while the car was in motion. Jimmy had to use a seatbelt and a knife to fight it off as the thing started striking the seat between his legs. Thinking he’d been bitten, he was on his way to the hospital when he was pulled over.

That’s a huge bloody nope from me. You can cop the ordeal below.

This slimy passenger would be sure to make any driver hysssssterical! 🐍😱

In good news though, Paramedics were called to the scene and Jimmy had not, in fact, been given a cheeky nibble.

“It was pretty terrifying, I’ve never been so happy to see red and blue lights,” Jimmy said.
