The Museum Of Ice Cream Is Headed For San Francisco

If you’re looking for a place to live out your ultimate Willy Wonka fantasies, you best get to San Francisco, where the much-hyped Museum of Ice Cream is gearing up to open its doors in a brand new location in September.

After roaring success in NYC during the summer of 2016, and again in Los Angeles earlier this year, the museum is set to honour our favourite treat once more, this time sweetening up San Francisco.

Visitors will be treated to an array of sugary delicacies, including a candy garden, pop-rocks caves, and push-pop art exhibitions. Local ice creameries will also be on hand to tend to your sweet tooth, with scoops from the the likes of Salt & Straw, It’s It and Bi-Rite.

The space will also feature the now-infamous pool of sprinkles, filled to the brim with over 100-million custom-designed rainbow flakes. But before you consider sampling a few, just know they’re inedible.

Maybe most remarkable about this particular location is its setting – San Fran’s iconic Savings Union Bank. Built in 1910, the antique building is a unique architectural beauty, inspired by the Roman Pantheon, boasting colossal columns reminiscent of an ancient empire.

Although tickets are sold out at the moment, you can keep an eye on the Museum of Ice Cream’s website for updates.
