We can only be at home for so long before we start to consider cutting our own bangs, but we’re here to say: put down the scissors, sweetie. BTS has given our hair a saving grace, in the form of free online lessons to teach us how to speak Korean.
The K-pop group isn’t letting a little self-isolation stop their world domination. Trading in sold-out arena shows for online language lessons, the group hope the classes will help fans all over the world better enjoy their songs.

“Learn Korean with BTS is short-form content designed to make it easy and fun for global fans who have difficulty enjoying BTS’ music and contents due to the language barrier,” said the band’s record label.
“We hope that through learning Korean, global fans will be able to deeply empathize with the music of artists and enjoy a wide range of contents.”
The thirty-episode series will stream on Weverse, a fan community website and app. Coming in at around three minutes each, the episodes are the perfect bite-sized distraction from your home office/loud roommate/general existential dread.
Each episode uses clips from the band’s reality TV series Run BTS! as well as shows like Bangtan Bomb, and breaks down the expressions used by Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook.
Good thing, too — Korean is one of the hardest languages to learn, but if anyone can teach you, it’s surely these boys.
Where can I watch Learn Korean with BTS?
Learn Korean With BTS is free to stream for anyone around the world. All you need to do is create a free Weverse account.
The first three episodes are available now. They’ll have you practicing consonants, learning how to introduce yourself and how to say hello and goodbye in Korean.
New episodes will stream every Monday at 9pm KST (Monday at 11pm AEDT).
