Attention Kmart Fans: These Are All The Melbourne Stores Currently Taking Bookings

As Victorian Premier Dan Andrews announced big changes to Melbourne’s lockdown restrictions at a press conference on Monday, Melburnians had two important things on their mind: Beers and Kmart.

While getting on the beers is a relatively simple activity to plan and execute, making that long-awaited trip to your local Kmart felt a little more complicated. That was until Kmart announced they’d be offering online bookings at 38 of their Melbourne locations, including their biggest store, Campbellfield.

As of today, Kmart lovers with an appointment are able to visit the following Kmart stores for 20 minutes of uninterrupted shopping:

Airport West
Altona
Boronia
Brandon Park
Broadmeadows
Brunswick
Burwood
Campbellfield
Carrum Downs
Chadstone
Chirnside Park
Clayton
Cranbourne
Dandenong
Eastland
Endeavour Hills
Footscray
Fountain Gate
Frankston
Greensborough
Hastings
Keilor
Keysborough
Knox
Manor Lakes
Melton
Moonee Ponds
Preston
Reservoir
Richmond
Rosebud
Rowville
Sanctuary Lakes
South Morang
Southland
Tarneit
Templestowe
Werribee

People have already been taking advantage of the booking system, with crowds of people lining up to enter stores from midnight last night.

If you want to make an appointment yourself, you can do so over at the Kmart website. I strongly suggest using your 20 minutes wisely and writing a shopping list before you arrive — unless, of course, you’ve simply been missing the very specific thrill that is walking around Kmart aimlessly.

And if you’re looking for things to do in Melbourne, beyond lining up to visit your closest Kmart, might I suggest checking out this list of Melbourne walks and picnic spots you can visit without leaving the 25km radius of your home? After all, what better way to celebrate some new home decor than with an afternoon in the sunshine and — if you’re really keen to celebrate the lockdowns easing — a couple of beers.
