This Melbourne Hotel Actually Wants You To Raid The Minibar And Steal Yourself A Robe

While stealing bath robes, pillows, room decor, and bottles of champagne from a hotel room is generally frowned upon, Melbourne’s Prince Hotel is — for a limited time only — asking guests to do all that and more.
Prince Hotel, located in Melbourne‘s St Kilda, is actively encouraging guests to steal from their luxury hotel rooms until Tuesday, May 31. As part of their new Steal The Suite offer, visitors can book a room in the hotel, then help themselves to toiletries, linen, cushions, ceramics, and more.
“We have seen some guests go to extraordinary lengths to smuggle items out of their hotel room, so we decided to expose this guilty pleasure and let guests steal items that are truly worth it,” said hotel manager Ben Chan.
Each Steal The Suite room is fully decked out Cultiver robes and linens, Hommey cushions and towels, Grown Alchemist skincare products, Marloe Marloe ceramic vases, a selection of wines from Mitchelton Wine, and a minibar filled with charcuterie from Little Prince Wine. Together, these items are valued at over $2000.
One night in the Prince Hotel’s Steal The Suite will cost you $999.
Now, maths has never been my strong suit, but if you were planning on treating yourself to a Melbourne hotel stay some time in the next month or so anyway — and will be walking away with $2000 worth of home decor, wine, and snacks — it all makes perfect economic sense, if you ask me.
The Steal The Suite offer is available until May 31 and there are still rooms available to book online.
If you’ve been wishing your home felt a little more like a five-star hotel, here’s your chance to make that happen without breaking the bank or, you know, the law.
