Don Your Robes, A Harry Potter Party Is Coming To A City Near You

As any respectable Potterhead would know, a certain Dark-Lord-defeating wizard’s birthday is coming up – July 31st, for those of you playing at home – so it’s probably time to party, right? Right.
A delightful society known as Peeves’ Gang are throwing a bunch of parties in the coming months to celebrate the great wizard himself – they’re billing it as the Wizarding Event of the Year, so you know it’s going to be good. Guests are encouraged to don their best robes, wands and Golden Snitch costumes for an evening of what McGonnagall might call “well-mannered frivolity”. There’ll even be prizes for the best dressed.

Butterbeer, Polyjuice Potion and Firewhisky will be served throughout the night, so organisers suggest you leave your brooms at home and “don’t fly”. As such, only aged wizards can attend and there’s strictly no admittance of any owls, cats or toads. Sorry, Neville.
Adelaide will kick things off on May 27 at the “Castle of Sugar”, followed by Sydney’s festivities at The Kings Cross Hotel on July 1. Melbourne gets to host Harry’s big birthday bash on July 29 at the “Castle of Brown Alley” (apparently Diagon Alley was already taken for the night). Early owl bird tickets start at $10.
