David Attenborough-Themed Raves Have Popped Up In The UK

David Attenborough

When it comes to famous people we’d like to party with, wildlife extraordinaire Sir David Attenborough isn’t the most obvious choice. But it turns out David is down to party, with a string of Attenborough-inspired raves popping up all over the UK.

David Attenborough’s Jungle Boogie is at the intersection of rainforest and rave, where revellers can dance to a mix of disco, house, funk and soul surrounded jungle-themed décor. On arrival, guests are given a cut-out Attenborough mask to complete the fantasy.

Best of all, episodes of the critically acclaimed Planet Earth and Blue Planet will be projected onto the walls so guests can feel as though they’re really on a jungle adventure.

“Sir David is such an icon amongst the youth,” event director Will Burbage told Lonely Planet. “We admire his ability to fascinate and entice such a young audience into learning about nature, as well as the social and political issues which surround it.”

The UK shows have gone absolutely off, selling out venues with capacity for between 600 and 800 people. And, apart from having a fresh place to party, part of each event’s proceeds will be donated to the World Land Trust, an international conservation charity.
