Totti’s Is Finally Bringing Its Woodfired Puffy Bread To Sydney’s Inner West
Merivale are taking their beloved Bondi trattoria west, with a second Totti’s outpost set for Rozelle this spring.
Inner and outer westies will no longer need to traverse the bridge or tunnel to enjoy Merivale’s Italian institution. It’s reported that owner Justin Hemmes has picked up the keys to pub, 3 Weeds Rozelle, which will house the second location of the super-popular eatery Totti’s.
This means before the year is out, you can kiss goodbye the days of trekking to Bondi through heinous traffic to get a fix of Totti’s Italian fare, which of course must include multiple servings of their iconic woodfired puffy bread.

But it seems Hemmes has his sights set on more than one location in the inner west, also dropping a casual $24 million on Leichhardt’s Norton’s Irish Pub.
Located in a prime corner position at the apex of Norton Street and Parramatta Road in Leichhardt, Norton’s Irish Pub joins Merivale Group’s established inner west portfolio, which already includes The Vic On The Park in Marrickville and Queens Hotel in Enmore.
“It is such a privilege to be part of Sydney’s vibrant Inner West,” said Hemmes in a statement. “Every suburb has a unique energy, and their local pubs play a special role in shaping their culture. We’re excited to not only expand our Inner West pub portfolio, but reopen doors to the 3 Weeds, a beautiful and much-loved local institution, this Spring.”
Hemmes also has made a second Victorian purchase, after recently securing Tomasetti House in Melbourne. He’s just splashed $38 million on the purchase of the Lorne pub on the wonderful Surf Coast, a major pit stop along the Great Ocean Road. It seems like the gradual national Merivale takeover is well underway.
