You’ve Gotta Eat This: Vata Pav, India

What is it? An Indian fast food staple, Vata Pav is like a potato sandwich packed with flavour.

Where can you get it? It hails from the Maharashtra region of India and can be found in street stalls and restaurants around the country.

What’s in it? A boiled potato spiced with chilli, garlic, tumeric and mustard seeds is coated in batter, deep fried and then sandwiched between a bun. The vata pav is then often accompanied by a few tasty chutneys for flavour. Yummo.

Is it good for you? The deep frying probably isn’t too good, but this definitely looks better than some of the other take away options across the globe.

How much does it cost? Cheap cheap cheap.
