You’ve Gotta Eat This: Doughnut Ice Cream Cones

Have you ever tasted something so delicious, so mind-bogglingly awesome that you immediately wanted to tell everyone you know about it? You’re not alone. Getting to taste unique offerings from around the world is probably the best part of travel, so there’s no shame in planning a whole trip around one special-looking dish, is there? Because you know in your heart of hearts that you’ve just gotta eat this.

What is it? Surely a gift from the sugary gods, there’s now a place that serves you gelato IN A CONE MADE FROM DOUGHNUTS. Good god.


Where can you get it? Perth’s hottest ice creamery, Jersey Jack Gelato in Como, WA. It’s a limited edition collab between Lena Lu Creations and Jersey Jack and are only available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Get in quick! These marvellous creations have been known to sell out.


What’s in it? I mean, it’s pretty self-explanatory. Jersey Jack’s Yi Hua told The Urban List “it’s made from bomboloni dough, which has a brioche-like consistency. It’s an Italian style doughnut which is slightly denser than the regular doughnut, but made the same way,” i.e. fried ’til crispy perfection. Yi also added, “It’s amazing with gelato!” We’ll take your word for it!

Is it good for you? Nah, but it’s definitely more fun than your boring old waffle cone, that’s for sure.
