You Can Go On A Ghost Tour Of This Abandoned Amusement Park

There’s an abandoned amusement park in West Virginia that’s opening its doors to a few brave souls who dare to venture into this creepy dilapidated arena.
Once a bustling amusement park popular with local families, the Lake Shawnee Amusement Park has quite the gloomy past, and since its closure in 1966, the park has laid dormant for years and years.
The park sits exactly as it was, but rusted and empty. Weeds have sprouted over the once colourful ticket booth and the ferris wheel seats are now trapped by vines. It’s like some abandoned backdrop from a futuristic zombie film, and it’s frightening.

So, what would any sane person do in this situation? Visit of course! Lake Shawnee are opening their doors to the ghost-busting public for tours of the abandoned wasteland. Rumour is there’s a few ghosts sneaking around, that’s why the swings seem to sway even when there’s no wind outside. Spooky, right?
Lake Shawnee Amusement Park is open every Friday and Saturday 8pm to Midnight in the month of October. Tickets and more info can be found here.
