In this blessed year of 2019, theme parks are having a moment. And now Universal Orlando is getting in on the action, announcing a brand-new theme park called — wait for it — Epic Universe. And if we were the kind of people to believe rumours (we very much are, spill the tea) we might believe that Epic Universe will get a full-size Mario Kart Course.
Universal is still pretty tight-lipped about the new theme park, but word on the street is that Epic Universe might be home to the highly-anticipated Nintendo World.

Universal hasn’t yet confirmed which franchises will find a new home in Epic Universe, but according to Tom Collins, chairman and chief executive officer for Universal Parks & Resorts, it will be “the most immersive and innovative theme park we have ever created.”
Choo choo, the hype train is pulling into the station.
[related_articles]73254,75299,64811[/related_articles]Of course, these rumours might prove totally wrong. But even if they are (dare we even say it?), the details that have been confirmed are enough to put this theme park on our radar.
Epic Universe will be Universal Orlando Resort’s fourth and largest theme park, almost double the size of the other three combined. It’ll host an entertainment centre, hotels, shops and restaurants. Whatever else ends up going into it will “create an entirely new level of experience that forever changes theme park entertainment”.
Construction on the new site is already underway, but an opening date is probably a long way off. In the meantime, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando just opened Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure ride.
