The New Qantas Pilot Uniforms Have Been Unveiled

Qantas have just announced a brand new uniform for their pilots, and they’re looking smart. This is the first time in 13 years that Qantas pilots will don a new uniform, with this modern look taking fashion inspo from the classic Qantas pilot uniforms back in the ’30s.

Designed by Aussie fashion designer Martin Grant, the new look features an elegant single-breasted navy suit made from pure Australian Merino Wool, with the pilot hats paying tribute to the quintessential nautical-style. The hats will also feature a gold-embroidered badge with the iconic Qantas kangaroo logo.

Unveiled today, the uniform will be featured on all of Qantas’ 3000 domestic, international and regional pilots.

Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce said he was happy to unveil a brand new uniform today. “Every Qantas uniform reflects its times and this version marks an exciting period for our pilots as we create new job opportunities and look forward to the delivery of the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner next year,” Mr Joyce said. “The uniform was developed in collaboration with our pilots to make sure that it meets their needs on the job, as well as perfectly capturing the power and history of the Qantas brand.”
