Wish You Were Here: Aqua Dome, Austria

Move over infinity pools, the Aqua Dome in Austria has something even better – levitating bowl pools.
Like something out of a futuristic movie, the Aqua Dome is home to three unique shaped pools connected by a glass cone. The three pools each serve a different relaxation function – the ‘whirl bowl’ is a hot tub whirlpool, the ‘sulphur bowl’ is lined by massage tables and runs sulphurous water every 15 minutes, and the ‘brine bowl’ is a salt water bath with underwater lights and music.
And did we mention the cool location? The Aqua Dome is located in Längenfeld, a township in the Ötztal valley in western Austria, and functions as a hotel as well as a thermal spa retreat. Only an hour away from Innsbruck, the Aqua Dome sits right in the middle of the Alps and is the perfect spot for a little post-ski relaxation.
The hotel blends nicely within the mountainous landscape and offers guests a great mix of relaxation and adventure. There’s water activities and a world of hiking ranges right at your doorstep, and an indulgent spa and sauna ready and waiting for you when you return.
Prices at the Aqua Dome start at €322 ($506AUD) per night.
