Domestic travel and local staycays are all the rage for 2020. Yeah sure it’s PROBABLY influenced by a worldwide pandemic the likes of which we’ve never seen in our lifetime, but it’s also actually pretty great seeing as we have a ridiculously beautiful country that we’re all guilty of putting off for heading overseas.
One of the best things about a staycay is the money you save on flights and exchange rates, and it’s about to become a whole lot more affordable with the latest sale from Webjet.
They’re turning 22 and have decided that they’ll celebrate by supporting the local tourism industry as well as giving holiday goers a break.
Starting tomorrow August 25 at 10am and ending August 26 at 8am, Webjet is taking 22 percent off 22 hotels around Australia for a travel period from now until June 30 next year. All you need to do is head here, then use the code ‘HAPPY22ND’.
You could head down the Great Ocean Road, or stop off in Daylesford or Mornington Peninsula in Victoria (remember these travel dates are lasting until mid-next year, so hopefully in a better time for the state).
New South Wales spots include the Blue Mountains, Byron Bay, Port Macquarie and the Hunter Valley. Western Australia is offering up Broome, Margaret River and Rottnest Island.
Then you have the Whitsundays, Hervey Bay, Fraser Island, the Sunshine Coast and Cairns in Queensland. Sip some wines in the Barossa or head to Kangaroo Island or Adelaide Hills in South Australia.
Maybe Darwin and Kakadu or Alice Springs in the Northern Territory tickles your fancy. Otherwise there’s Bruny Island, Hobart and Cradle Mountain in Tassie.
As well as a bunch of different locations, there’s a range of budgets catered for too. Like seven nights in an Ocean Side Studio at Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa for two adults at $1527, which is a saving of over $400.
Or seven nights in the luxe Fairmont Resort & Spa Blue Mountains for two adults and two children for $1488, which is also a $400 saving.
