New York York’s ‘Mood Ring’ Bar Changes According To The Zodiac
Have you ever felt like your local bar doesn’t really get you? Like, sure, the bar staff can remember your order, but they don’t exactly tailor it according to how you’re feeling.
Well, that’s not the case at Mood Ring, in the Bushwick district of Brooklyn — it changes monthly according to the star signs in the zodiac.
The astrology-themed bar is the invention of Chinese-American owners Vanessa Li and Bowen Goh. They’ve opting for a more subtle approach, with regular menu changes, tarot cards and planet motifs scattered throughout the venue, so don’t expect vino specials for Virgos or cheap long island’s for Libras.
The bar’s interior design is inspired by the owners’ obsession with film history, specifically Hong Kong-based flick, In The Mood For Love — which also inspired the bar’s name.
Mood Ring also offers a Chinese snack menu, serving up bites like dumplings and pork buns.
