Vivid Sydney have announced their first headline musical act this morning, with the rest of the live lineup to be announced next month.
Straddling the line between bitingly bleak and brilliantly funny, ex-Smiths vocalist Morrissey is the first Vivid headliner announced, playing the Sydney Opera House’s Concert Hall over four nights this May – Tuesday 26, Wednesday 27, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31. The tickets to the Sydney-exclusive shows will be allocated via a ballot on the Opera House’s website which opens at midday Monday March 2 and closes at midnight Friday March 6.
Vivid turns the city of Sydney into a colourful canvas each May. It’s the southern hemispheres’s largest festival of lights, music and ideas, running for 18 days from May 22 to June 8.
