Perth’s First Ever Cheese Bar Is Officially Open

Fromage Artisans is Perth‘s first ever fully dedicated cheese bar, and it’s just opened to rapturous acclaim.

The new institution is both a retail store and bar, which offers sharing plates, cheese toasties and other fromage-laden delights. Customers are able to enjoy the treats on their own, or served with a drink. In the bar, a dress code also requires visitors to “dress fabulously well in our artisanal and cultured space (translates to a minimum of a smart casual level!)”

Thought it’s only been open a few days, the bar has proven to be so popular that more than 40kg of artisanal cheese has been purchased and consumed by excited customers.

Founders Danicia Quinlan and Michael Taylor opened the store after realising there was “nothing like this in WA.”

“We have been overwhelmed by the response. People have really embraced the concept.”

The cheese bar and retail store is open from Tuesdays until Saturdays, with more than 40 types of cheese on offer, as well as cheese masterclasses, some of which pair cheeses with whiskey, cognac and other spirits. Head to the website or Facebook page for more info.
