Of the many things that got us through lockdown, and are still getting some of us through lockdown, were stupidly entertaining cooking shows on YouTube. Of all these shows, legend Nat’s What I Reckon and his very Aussie-style cooking was clearly a crowd favourite.
Well good news kids, because now thee’s a cookbook on the way. Hell, even the news announce is a bit of a good time.

Un-cook Yourself: A Ratbag’s Rules For Life, from Penguin Books Australia, is set to give readers a taste of Nat’s unique kitchen know-how, as well as his deepest wisdoms, with a splash of his life before viral fame.
“Learn how to be a better d*ckhead with Nat’s deep and meaningful guide to life,” says Penguin’s description of the book.
“Nat’s What I Reckon was the tattooed lockdown saviour we didn’t know we needed, rescuing us from packet food, jar sauce and total boredom with his hilarious viral recipe videos that got us cooking at home like champions again,” it continues, “And he’s ready to teach us more about life in this thoroughly unhelpful (but maybe actually kinda helpful?) self-help guide”.
I mean, I don’t think I could have said it better myself, so I’m not going to try.
Not surprisingly, the book is set to hit shelves on December 1, just in time to be a fun Chrissy present for the cook who also doesn’t really want to cook person in your life. However you can also pre-order it from a few different place here.
