This Entire Museum In Los Angeles Is Dedicated To The Art Of The Selfie

Is your selfie game so strong it could be considered an art form? If so, its time to dust off your selfie stick and perfect that pout, because The Museum of Selfies is dedicated to the art of taking photos of yourself.

The museum is part of a trend of drool-worthy Instagrammable locations, much like the Museum of Ice Cream and San Francisco’s Colour Factory. There will be art installations inspired by selfie culture, as well as interactive spaces for you to snap that perfect selfie to share online.

Museum co-founder and escape room designer Tommy Honton told Mashable he wanted to create an exciting space for people to interact with art. “We definitely want people to laugh or be surprised by the entire exhibit,” Honton said.

“So we have the visual humour where people walk up, and they engage with the space. And we’re hoping they laugh, or they’re surprised, or are amused, and that they can’t help but want to take a picture with it.”

The museum opened late in 2017, and you can book your tickets for US$25 (AU$25) via the website.
