One hotel in Milan has taken extravagance to the next level; TownHouse Galleria is a five star hotel, and the first in the world that dresses its beds in actual gold sheets. Just imagine sliding right into this after a day of sightseeing:
Those aren’t just gold-coloured sheets, by the way. They’re actually made out of 24 carat gold.
It might not sound all that comfortable, but the gold only makes up 40 per cent of the actual sheets – the rest is made from pure cashmere and silk, equally premium fabrics which totally complement your personal brand.
The sheets are available in the Presidential Suite of the hotel, which sets you back a hefty $8,000AUD per night. What’s more, they actually sell the sheets to take home for a meagre $300,000AUD per set of pillowcases, sheet and doona cover.
Sure, it’s a lot of money — and probably a dry-cleaning nightmare — but the cost is nothing compared to he satisfaction you’ll receive from living your best life.
