Beer Made From Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Is About To Be A Reality

Guys, can we put a pin in our quest to be healthy for a hot minute? A creation so simultaneously pure and questionable is about to be a reality. We are talking, of course, of Krispy Kreme doughnut beer.

Hidden Springs Ale Works and Largo’s Arkane Ale Works, two brewers from Tampa Bay, Florida, have united to concoct this diabolical creation at the delight of, well, we’re not entirely sure.

They’ve brewed two batches, each using 24 doughnuts – one cream-filled and one glazed. It’s their entry into the pasty-inspired beer niche, Hidden Springs founder Josh Garman told Tampa Bay Times.

“It’s going to be roasty, chocolatey, hopefully with some doughnut flavor,” Garman said. “We’re actually hoping to get some of the glaze from the Krispy Kremes to come through.”

While the creation isn’t a direct partnership with the doughnut manufacturer, Krispy Kreme has offered its full support for the beer, with representatives saying they look forward to trying it.

While the brew is yet to be named, it’s expected to be available in bottles early next year at $30 ($25USD) a pop at the two breweries. For updates, follow Hidden Springs Ale Works’ Facebook page.
