Get A 5kg ‘Donut Cake’ Delivered To Your Room At This California Hotel
If your eyes are never too big for your stomach, boy, are you in for a treat: A hotel in the USA is plating up a monster 5kg dessert for guests to devour.
The DoNut Disturb Package at the JW Marriott Desert Springs in Palm Desert, California, includes a mammoth donut creation baked by the hotel’s in-house house pastry chef and delivered to guests’ doors (or baths, if that floats your boat).
At first glance, you’d think the donut was in fact, a donut. It’s actually a cake that’s been moulded to resemble the yummy treat, featuring layers of Tahitian vanilla cake, cream and raspberry jam. It’s topped with a layer of pink fondant icing and the most enormous sprinkles we’ve ever seen.
If that isn’t enough, it comes with a couple of frosty milkshakes to wash it down with. If, after all that, guests are still a bit peckish or in need of a massage to aid digestion, the package also includes a $60 (USD$50) voucher to be used towards in-house spa and dining services.
