Get Ready To Let It Go Again, Because ‘Frozen’ The Musical Is Coming To Sydney
The mega smash hit animated film Frozen is a perpetual favourite for kids and adults alike – and musical stage adaptation will be coming to Sydney in July 2020. Yes, be prepared for ‘Let It Go’ to once again be stuck in everyone’s heads.
[related_articles]67320,51438,68133[/related_articles]The film was released to widespread acclaim in 2013 (yes, five years ago, if you can believe it), so it’s really about time the show came to Aussie shores after premiering on Broadway in New York last year.
It’s a boon for Sydney, which missed out on major production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to Melbourne in 2019. Premier of NSW Gladys Berejiklian said of the production, “Frozen is one of the most highly acclaimed and sought-after musicals currently in production. It is a global cultural sensation, and we are thrilled to have secured the musical adaptation for Sydney.”

Many team members who worked on the original film were involved in the translation to the stage, so you can expect the quality humour, characters and – of course – hit songs to be preserved and even improved (is that possible?) for the live adaptations.
