Maybe you consider that your body is a temple and that when you take a tipple, it should be entirely separate from any wellness pursuits you might enjoy – like yoga. Well, at least one person would disagree with you – Eli Walker, founder of Drunk Yoga (yes, a thing) and “certified astrologer” is hosting a Drunk Yoga retreat getaway that blends plenty of drinks, restorative yoga and also astrology readings for good measure.

Drunk Yoga has partnered with Cheap Caribbean for the weekend stay, which will happen from Thursday 20 February to Sunday February 23. Tickets cost US$899 (AU$1330) per person, which includes flights from Miami (FLL) Airport, all-inclusive accommodation at Haven Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa, as well as the New Year, Do You retreat.
The event will be held at Haven Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa in the Quintana Roo state in the Yucatan region of Mexico. The resort is a half-hour drive from the city of Cancun, and only 15 minutes from the airport.
Drunk Yoga started in New York, and involves a happy hour with drinks, followed by a 45-minute Vinyasa yoga session with a drink. What better way to limber up both physically and socially? You can take that attitude on holiday with you to the “New Year, Do You” retreat.

If hitting the dranks while you stretch it out isn’t your thing, maybe alpaca yoga is, or what about Balinese laughing yoga? Or goat yoga? Or miniature-pig pilates? The options certainly seem endless.
