NZ Has Opened A Heavy Vehicle Theme Park For Grown-Ups
If getting behind the wheel of monstrous excavators sounds likes a good time to you, listen up: Dig This, a heavy vehicle theme park, has recently set up shop in New Zealand.
[related_articles]62744,60632[/related_articles]NZ’s southernmost town, Invercargill, has welcomed the country’s first ever heavy equipment playground, the only one in the southern hemisphere.
It boasts a massive sandpit for grown-ups, filled with gravel, sand and an array of heavy machinery.
New Zealand local Ed Mumm built the first ever Dig This in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, back in 2007, before opening a second park in Las Vegas. Now, after its roaring success, Mumm has returned home, setting up a base for big machinery.
The park has nine activities on offer. Those looking to let off a little steam can smash cars into little pieces or, if you’re already pretty chill, practice precision by scooping and moving various objects.
