Bacon Cake Is Here To Satisfy All Of Your Cravings At Once
Ah, bacon – crispy, delicious bacon. If you ever thought you’d run out of ways to consume everyone’s favourite greasy treat, think again, because Melbourne’s Third Wave Café has changed the game with its diabolical new creation: bacon cake.
Yep, bacon cake is a thing and, honestly, we aren’t sure how to feel about it, so we’ll let you decide for yourselves. It’s constructed, top to bottom, as follows: bacon weaves; mac and cheese; Monetary Jack cheese; burger patties; sweet potato; more bacon weaves; more mac and cheese; pulled brisket and, to finish, a piece of candied bacon and a bacon-wrapped meatball.
If that’s not enough, it’s prepared and cooked in an industrial kitchen in 15kg portions.
Creator of the cake and owner of Third Wave Café, Greg, told Yahoo7 Be the idea came to fruition after a suggestion from his 15-year-old daughter. “She loves bacon, saw us doing the monthly bacon special and asked, ‘What about a bacon cake?'” The rest, as they say, is history.
