Attention Potterheads: This ‘Harry Potter’ Themed B&B Is Serving Butterbeer For Breakfast

Hold onto your hats, Potterheads. Here’s another one to add to your Harry Potter travel bucket list.

An intimate little bed and breakfast in South Wales has created the ultimate Harry Potter-themed tea service in celebration of two very special milestones: the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and the 10th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Twenty years! Feel old yet?

The Llety Cynin B&B in South Wales have transformed their digs into an outstanding Harry Potter themed getaway, complete with a Great Hall dining space. But this B&B isn’t just going to slap you with some robes, a wand and a S.P.E.W. badge and call it a day – it’s pulling out all the stops with a themed High Tea breakfast as well.

Llety Cynin’s Wizard’s Tea is for Potterheads of all ages. Taking inspiration from both the books and the films, the staff at the B&B have spent months researching, trialling, testing and tasting all sorts of delicious Harry Potter inspired treats to create this tasty dining experience.

There are two menus on offer to guests at Llety Cynin’s Wizard’s Tea. For children, there’s Not Pumpkin Juice (orange and carrot juice), finger sandwiches, birthday cake (sponge with pink fondant icing, presumedly spelt out to read HAPPEE BIRTHDAE HARRY), match winning cake pops, chocolate frogs (because, of course), sour lollipops and house themed shortbread, according to whichever Hogwarts House you’re sorted into.

For the adults, there’s finger sandwiches, spiced pumpkin pasties, screaming baby cakes (these edible mandrakes are made with coffee and vanilla cupcakes, brownie soil, fondant baby with wafer leaves), Aunties trifle (lime jelly, crème patisserie, sponge, meringue, cream and cherry), gamekeeper rock cakes (Hagrid’s favourite currant cakes) and a Hogwarts feast favourite, treacle tart.

The cherry on top? They’re also serving hot butterbeer, which in this case is made with hot milk, caramel, cinnamon, butterscotch syrup, cream and salted caramel pieces. Good god, yes.

The tea also arrives in bird cages, which are presumedly on loan from Hedwig, Errol and Pigwidgeon.
