China Has A New, Architecturally Designed, 7-Storey Treehouse

Everyone loves a good treehouse. Whether they’re on a crane in Bristol or perched atop the Daintree Rainforest, there’s something so playful and delightful about enjoying treehouses in our adult years – especially when they’re interesting, extravagant, and thoroughly one-of-a-kind.

Now, the Qiyunshan Tree House has taken things to a whole new level. Situated just outside of Huangshan in China, this remarkable tree house is seven storeys high – well, kind of.

A series of rooms are stacked on top of one another, giving off the look of uneven boxes towering up to the top of its neighbouring trees.

Each room is 100 square metres, with a spiral staircase connecting it all down the middle. What’s more is that each room faces a different direction, offering stunning, unique 360 degree views throughout.

Many rooms – there’s a living room, bedroom, bathroom, glass corridor and several viewing platforms – also have small decks or balconies, for really soaking in the stunning surrounds, not to mention the warm sun.

The Qiyunshan Tree House was designed by Bengo Studio, also responsible for architectural marvels including the Sanhe Apartments and the Gu’an Culture Centre.
