A Nutella Pop Up Is Coming To Melbourne

Capturing the zeitgeist of our sudden nationwide Nutella craze, online culture magazine The City Lane are hosting a “Nutella pop up” this month, offering platters of confectionery creations all centred around the delicious chocolate hazelnut spread.

The $10 Nutella “bento boxes” will each containing three innovative food blessings  – a Nutella Peanut Butter S’more, a Nutella Salted Caramel Chocolate Truffle and a Nutella and maple Syrup Tart with Smoked Hickory Italian Meringue.

You. Mouth. Now.

They’ll be taking over The Alehouse Project on Lygon Street, Brunswick East, on Saturday September 12 with takeaway service starting from the bar’s front window at 9am. Here’s the kicker – only 500 bento boxes will be available. As the popular saying goes, “the early bird gets the Nutella-based treats.” Or something. Just go early.

If, by some miracle, there’s any boxes left when the bar opens at noon, you’re welcome to take your bento box inside to enjoy with a beer or wine too. Japanese style pour over coffee will be on hand from Padre Coffee, so you can caffeinate your sugar high and run wild into the weekend. Godspeed.
