What is it? It’s what is says on the packet – a Lasagne Burger.
Where can you get it? Dreamt up by chef Danny Russo, this masterpiece can only be found at the Bertoni Cafe in their Balmain location.
What’s in it? Warning: deep frying ahead.
The Lasagne Burger includes two slabs of Bertoni’s house-made lasagne crumbed then deep fried as “buns”, with the filling a mixture of béchamel sauce, mozzarella cheese and a wagyu beef patty. There’s also a side of chips because why not.
Is it good for you? For the one-off occasion you’ll be eating this – you’ll be fine. Go for it.
How much does it cost? $18. Follow the sage advice of the owners: Don’t ask, just order it.
