You Can Go Glamping At Australia’s Most Famous Zoo

Wake up to the sound of some new, furry bedfellows, thanks to Australia’s most famous zoo. Taronga’s Roar & Snore is a cliff-top camping site nestled amongst lions, leopards and meerkats, and overlooking a 180-degree view of Sydney Harbour Bridge.

There’s no roughing it here. Kick back in architecturally designed safari tents, complete with all the modern glamping requirements, including fully dressed double and single beds, electricity and shared bathroom facilities. Each tent sleeps two to four people, and an overnight stay includes a full itinerary of activities and meals.

Check in is at 6pm where you’ll be fed nibbles and refreshments before experiencing the mysterious itinerary item called “meet a creature”. After feasting on a buffet dinner you’ll be whisked away on the Zoo’s night safari, which is a mega one-and-a-half hour tour of the African water hole and big cat enclosures.

After a primo overnight sleep, you’ll be served a continental breakfast and two behind the scenes tours of the zoo. If this entire experience still sees you crying out for more reptiles, bears and birds, don’t sweat it. You’ll receive free access to the zoo for the entire day.
