The Votes Are In, Experts Have Revealed The World’s Best Beaches

We’re in no short supply of beautiful beaches overseas or here at home, that’s for sure. But when planning the ultimate beach vacay, how are we to know which beaches are the best of the best?

Thanks to the Beach Awards from Beach Inspector, we might just have a definitive answer.

The beach and hotel search engine website sent a group of experts out to spend one to two days at a time on 1595 beaches in 52 holiday regions around the world, gathering over 120 pieces of data on each destination along the way.

While remaining as objective as possible, the beach “experts” (how do I get that job?) evaluated factors such as beach condition, facilities, available amenities, views, visual beauty, diversity and kid-friendliness.

After writing up summaries and counting the votes, a bunch of winners were announced in five separate categories: Wow, Party, Watersport, Ambience and Classic Holiday.

Here are some of the winners:

Wow

The “Wow” category was awarded to beaches that will take your breath away. The kind of beaches that’ll stay with you forever.

Manda Bay, Kenya

Party

The Party category is for the beaches that are always active and lively, where party animals come to play. We’re talking barefoot fun from sunset to sunrise.

Watersport

Kite surfing, surfing and wind surfing – the “Watersport” category is for the beaches with the most gnarly waves to shred.

Ambience

The beaches with the greatest atmosphere that will capture you straight away score well in the “Ambience” category. A picture perfect beach with local authenticity mixed with a super relaxed vibe.

Classic Holiday

The “Classic Holiday” category rewards beaches that scream, well, a classic holiday. Great infrastructure, superb swimming conditions and stunning surrounds are a must.
