Whistler Is The Next Big Destination Getting A Capsule Hotel

Capsule hotels are maybe the most perfect form of accommodation. Affordable like a hostel, but you actually get some privacy. Comfortable like a hotel, but you don’t have to pay for unnecessary extras. We told you about Australia’s very first capsule hotel and now, Canada’s jumping on the bandwagon too.
Filling that tricky middle ground between the dinghy hostels and luxe hotels, the Pangea Pod Hotel is making its way to Whistler, British Columbia. And it’s looking pretty darn good.
The Pangea Pod Hotel comprises 88 sleeping pods and three common lounging areas. They’ve also got shared bathrooms, but probably not like you know them. The wash areas will be split into four sections — washroom, change room, toilet and shower — with separate access points so you get added privacy for exactly what you need. Basically, if you want to wash your face and brush your teeth, you don’t have to interact with other people. Score.
The pods are pretty stylish too, with wood-panel finishes and artwork donning the walls. Not bad for a cheap stay.
The Pangea Pod Hotel will be opening in June 2018 and we’ve got no word yet on prices, so you’ll have to wait a little longer before kissing that hostel bed goodbye. Find out more information on Pangea Pod’s website.
