This Indoor Vintage Caravan Park Is The Most Whimsical Place On Earth
No, it’s not the global headquarters of Etsy – but still, the Hüttenpalast Hotel in Berlin could very well be the most whimsical place on the planet.
Translating to “Caravan Palace”, the owners of the #ontrend hotel refitted an old factory and filled it with vintage caravans and mobile homes to act as ‘rooms’.
Treading a fine line between boutique hotel and glamping, the cozy indoor caravan park has three refurbished caravans and three mountain huts under its roof, all resting on fake grass beside fairy-lit trees, hammocks and swing chairs.
The huge warehouse space has shared bathroom facilities (you know – like at an actual campground) and a night in a caravan or cabin starts at $100AUD and includes a free croissant and coffee in the morning from the on-site cafe.
If you want to get a breath of actual fresh air, duck out the back and take some quiet time in the tranquil garden oasis, alive with fresh herbs, veggies and the chatter of visitors and locals alike.
