This Hot-Air Balloon Festival Is What Instagram Dreams Are Made Of
You’d be remiss to think Albuquerque is famous solely for being the backdrop to Walter White’s shenanigans on Breaking Bad, because this city also hosts one of the coolest and most colourful festivals in the world.
The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is the largest balloon festival in the world. Held in early October, the festival is a nine day party, with special events, exhibitions and competitions taking place throughout.
You simply haven’t lived until you’ve witnessed over 500 hot air balloons descend on a small inland American town – even if hot air ballooning isn’t your thing, you’ll no doubt be watching this wondrous event unfold with a gleeful grin on your face.
