The New Qantas Safety Video Is All About Showing Off Australia

After its delightfully Aussie take on the inflight safety video last year, Qantas has returned with another true blue safety video for the new year, highlighting some of Australia’s best spots along with the locals who make them so special.

Released at the G’Day USA event in LA this morning, the video is an evolution of last year’s release, which totally upped the safety video game.

Qantas worked with Tourism Australia and state tourism organisations to make the 2017 video, which begins with a woman throwing a line out from Melbourne’s iconic St Kilda Pier before joining a hot air balloon in NSW’s Hunter Valley, soaring above the Bangarra Dance Theatre company performing on a rocky outcrop in NSW’s Cape Banks, stopping in at a wedding in Perth’s Kings Park, visiting Bruce Munro’s Field Of Light installation at Uluru, sliding down a sand dune on Queensland’s Moreton Island and checking out hobart’s bustling Salamanca Markets. Phew. And that’s not even all of the journey. It really is a whirlwind tour around some of the best spots our great southern land has to offer.
