You already know that Morrissey is playing, but here’s who’ll be joining Manchester’s favourite miserabilist at Vivid LIVE at the Sydney Opera House in May:
Sufjan Stevens
The US singer will play four exclusive shows (May 22-25) at The Concert Hall. It marks his return to Vivid after debuting _Planetarium_ in 2012 with Bryce Dessner and Nico Muhly.
Daniel Johns
The silverchair frontman will perform tracks from his solo album, along with reworks of presumably older material, in an Australian exclusive at the Concert Hall over two night (May 28-29).
Future Classic
A mini-festival curated by one of Australia’s most exciting labels, headlined by Flume (in his only Aus show of 2015) and AWOL favourites Flight Facilities. Celebrating 10 years of Future Classic it’ll take place outdoors on the Opera House’s Northern Boardwalk on May 29 and 30.
TV on the Radio
The much-loved indie outfit will perform their largest Sydney headline show at The Concert Hall on June 8 and 9.
Other acts announced this morning include Bill Callahan, Squarepusher, The Drones, The Preatures, Royal Headache and Melbourne Ska Orchestra. The Red Bull Music Academy will team up with Vivid for a bunch of Studio events curated by some of Sydney’s favourite party-starters including Elefant Traks and Goodgod, while Dress Up Attack! is a specially programmed event for children aged two to eight (and their parents/carers, of course).

Vivid will turn the city of Sydney into a colourful canvas from May. It’s the southern hemispheres’s largest festival of lights, music and ideas, running for 18 days from May 22 to June 8. For full line-up information and details click here.
