Sydney Is Getting A Burger & Beer Festival

A few weeks ago, Melburnites rightfully lost their collective mind over the Burger Invitational that will be overtaking food truck park Welcome To Thornbury next month. Sydneysiders sat by, woefully remembering the nightmare that was that In N Out pop up, looking sadly at their feet, wondering where their burger festival was – well, don’t worry guys, it’s arrived. Sydney is getting a burger festival next month. With beers, too.
Burgerpalooza will be taking over Marrickville’s Vic on the Park Hotel for Sydney’s biggest burger and beer festival since – well – ever. The day will feature brand new burger creations from the likes of Bar Luca, Pub Life Kitchen, Chef’s Kitchen, Milk Bar by Cafe Ish, Barrio Cellar and Bare Grill.
All burgers are set at $9 each and to ensure you can stuff literally all of them into your mouth, they’ll be a teeeensy bit smaller than your regular burg’, but still a whole lot heftier than a slider. Very clever.
The festival is set to overtake Vic on the Park’s courtyard and will also feature a selection of brews from James Squire who’ll be offering the fanciest of burger and beer pairings. The event will also be soundtracked by a selection of vinyl-only DJs, and headlined by the funk master DJ Mike Who.
Burgerpalooza will take place on Saturday March 19 at Vic on the Park in Marrickville. More info here. Oh, and entry is free!
